Step inside Shawnie Susie's 4th grade math class as she uses formative instructional practices (FIP) to challenge students to take ownership of their learning, provide feedback to one another, and reflect on their learning targets to know what they need to work on to succeed.
"[Students] should always know what they're learning and where they are. That's really important," said Ms. Susie. "Since I've started using FIP, it's really helped me improve on that process of how do I collect that evidence, how do I provide that feedback. It's helped me be more organized."
