Professional Development
Battelle for Kids has seasoned experience providing strategic counsel and coaching and developing customized in-person professional development programs to help districts roll out use value-added information as a school improvement tool.

We also partner with consortiums of districts or state departments of education to implement train-the-trainer professional development programs for large-scale or statewide rollouts, including comprehensive interactive seminars.
Resources & Tools

To complement the professional development, we provide around using value-added analysis for school improvement, Battelle for Kids created a series of interactive, print and Web-based tools and resources.


The Understanding & Using Value-Added Analysis Toolkit for School Leaders offers an array of resources, including CD-ROMs, DVD, desktop reference, user manual and other materials that outline strategies to help educators easily learn to access, navigate and interpret value-added information.


Battelle for Kids also partnered with The MASTER Teacher to develop the Value-Added Learning Network, which offers a series of 27 online courses. To learn more information and demo the Network, visit www.value-addedlearningnetwork.org.
