We are also working with the Ohio Department of Education to roll out professional development in support of teacher-level value-added reporting and provide online learning to build educators' capacity to use high-impact formative instructional practices as part of Ohio's Race to the Top plan. Battelle for Kids can help education organizations address Race to the Top's four assurances in areas such as:
Supporting the adoption and use of standards and formative instructional practices that prepare students to succeed in college and the workplace and to compete in a global economy.
Helping districts design systems that improve data quality, management and reporting.
Creating and implementing comprehensive initiatives designed to recognize, reward and retain highly effective teachers and principals.
Planning and implementing strategic compensation systems in high-need schools, including model development, improving data quality, calculating and reporting awards, communicating with stakeholders and managing change.
